Our Story

The company was originally founded in Belgium in 1989 but soon the Dutch market proved more promising which resulted in the founding of the Dutch company in 2001. Our approach is fact based, simple and straightforward. Just like analytics should be.

Lingua Franca's Approach

Facts:

  • Depending on the source, between 50 and 80 % of all analytics projects fail. That is our value proposition: to drastically reduce that number.

  • “Drowning in a sea of data” is a reality for many organisations. Yet today’s data science solutions can reduce the information overload.

  • 80% of all analytics projects are about customers. That’s why we combine customer process knowledge with customer analytics knowledge.

Our Analysis:

Lingua Franca has identified the root causes of failed analytics projects.

  • Inconsistent business analysis: no clear business case, a disconnect between business and information strategy to name a few.

  • Incomplete data analysis: the source data are not sufficiently explored and analysed to maximize value from the analytics project.

  • Wrong use of agile development methods: if the developers have rightfully dropped waterfall methods for analytics, they’ve often turned into the wrong agile direction, causing unnecessary rework and loss of momentum.

Would you like to know how to deal with these and many other root causes?
